Couldn’t not mark this in the diary…….George at two peanut butter cookies today. HE ATE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES!!! My baking skills are terrible but I thought I’d have a go as they looked easy to make and he said “Mum, am I munching a new food?!” excitedly as he ate them.
The fact that he’s eaten something that’s not Carrot sodding Stix, Digestives, Fruit Winders or Maltesters is MASSIVE. In George’s words, “Happy face!”
The Head Teacher from Puss Bank rang today to see how we are getting on. I handed the phone over to George for a quick chat and the first thing he said to her was “it’s just another normal day in the Beresford household.” This was followed by him reciting, word for word, the social story that had been provided to prepare him for the fact that she would be calling him.
He went to play outside and pulled my clean sheet off the washing line twice (having been specifically asked not to touch it) and then blamed Harry, even though Harry wasn’t outside. Who says autistic kids can’t tell fibs? I also caught him having a pee in the grid in the garden and when I challenged him he once again responded with “can you write that in Word?”
I think we have a comedian in the house.
