Sunday 29th March 2020

I got a lie-in this morning. I was woken up at 09:49 by George pulling my eyelid open and saying “Do you wanna build a snowman?” in the style of Anna from Frozen. He snuggled up at the side of me under the quilt and cuddled me, saying “Mum I really, really love you. You are a very lovely mummy.” What a gorgeous way to wake up!

We do this thing (my mum and me used to do it when I was a little girl), where you flutter your eyelashes on the other persons’ cheek and we call it a ‘butterfly kiss’. He lay at the side of me, fluttered his eyelashes just under my nose and said “I just butterfly kissed you on your moustache.”

You’re cute mate but you’re also a cheeky little fecker!

We went out for a walk again in the afternoon, just me and George, and of course it was the usual route of down to the duck pond on his scooter and then up to Chapel Lane, Stocks Lane and down the main road (in the road as he refuses to use the footpath) and back down Round Meadow. As he whizzed along on his scooter he was singing every song from Frozen (in order of course) at the top of his voice. How nice would it be to just do what makes you happy and sod what anybody else thinks? I really love this about him.
